it’s rained all day today. the day i took this photograph there was sunshine & we swam in the ocean til we got goosebumps.

test #2, the loop is a lot too visible though so i’ll have to work this out.
so i made this yesterday - a test image for a series that i’m working on for studio that i might just call ‘be still’. sorry if you don’t like feet haha. i’ll post them here when they are complete! & yes technically it is a gif… but (in my opinion) so much cooler.
music is ‘intro’ by the xx. all of it shot on an ipod.
& a few more…
So I’m finally getting around to posting some pictures of the beautiful wedding I photographed in the middle of February. The day began with dark clouds & spits of rain but thankfully it cleared up before the ceremony began. Kim & Dave had such a fun attitude & the entire day was an epic celebration of their relationship. It was a great honour to be their photographer!
I did a lot of location scouting before shooting Kim + Dave’s wedding in February. I was heading back to the car when I spotted these two adorable kids playing in the tree & if it weren’t for them the idea that lead to the following photo probably would never have come about.
I went along to check out the Chinese Lantern Festival last month where we took photos with strangers and listened to a hilarious karaoke version of Shakin’ Stevens Because I Love You.
I saw Incubus from the front row at Vector at the end of last month & they opened with Megalomaniac. They sound just like on their records! So epic.
wedding #1.
This summer I’ve been stoked to photograph a couple of weddings. I felt like such an amateur to begin with but I’ve learnt so much & am pretty pumped on the moments I’ve been able to capture. I thought I’d enjoy the editing side of things but it takes SO flippin long… the final package is worth it though I guess. Here are a couple from the first wedding - it was the most intimate & beautiful family event I’ve ever seen.

Dinnerware made with the couple’s own monogram!

& the most beautiful three tiered cake made by the bride’s sister! Such a gorgeous wedding to photograph.
woah!
just found this! stoked.

I’m four days out from shooting my first ever wedding! I have weddings on my mind & I am so nervously excited… I spent this evening checking out the church where I’ll be photographing another wedding in a couple of weeks & it is GLORIOUS. Stained glass windows with the sun streaming in, gorgeous ceiling, epic pews.. probably one of the most beautiful churches I’ve ever been in. I cannot believe how blessed I am that this will be my job.
My pal Franky here was kind enough to be my ukulele tutor last weekend where we played a bunch of Fleetwood Mac, Don McLean, Jason Mraz etc etc.. I need to work on that sticky outy little finger (+ practice to get as good as Fran!)! She’s about to create her own YouTube channel where she’ll sing + teach you how to play all of your parents’ favourites… or maybe one day she will haha. After seeing Zach Condon play the uke on Monday, it made me want to learn even more though.
